Good Books!

Here are some book recommendations I have recieved from friends lately. I love it when people share a good read! So, here are a few that I have really enjoyed this week.

My friend Jenny told me about this book. I just loved it! I am almost finished with it in 2 days. It is easy to read and the concept is wonderful. Its all about planning with the end in mind for what skills you want to teach your children before they leave home.... and what skills they should know before leaving home to help them be more successful, self confident and independent. She is straight forward, and funny. So if you are looking for a good parenting book..... this is awsome!

This was recommended from our friends the Duffys on their blog. It sounded so interesting. So far, it has been a real eye opener for me, and I have learned alot about how important it is to let children express their emotions, and how to handle it, it also it brought awareness to how I express emotions and how that can effect my children. It is fascinating. A great read!

She's going to be a Big Sister... In Two Months!!

So we are trying to get Gracie ready for her new little brother. Pointing to my tummy, and talking about babies all the time. When I asked her today, "Gracie, are you ready to have a little brother?" This is the face she gave me! I dont think she fully understands yet, but boy, this is going to be fun!!!

Stuffed French Toast anyone!

This is one of my favorite comfort foods! And to make myself feel better about it, I use whole wheat bread!

-Make a PB and Banana or PB and Honey sandwhich
-Dip sandwhich in egg batter with cinnamon, fry till golden.
-Serve with maple syrup and powdered sugar.... Yummy!
