Welcome Home Hermana Pickett!

My wonderul sister Marci returned home from her mission is Argentina. It was sooo good to see her again, and have her home. She was so full of joy!

The anticipation of waiting for a missionary to come home is totally overwhelming! We patiently waited at the aiport, full of excitement, and when we saw a large group of people come toward us everyone started shouting out, " I think I see her, she's coming, thats her..." So we all started crying, even before we saw her! Finally, we saw this cute blond missionary quickly walking toward us. We completely attacked her!

This last 2 weeks has been amazing. Marci shared with us her stories of the faithful people in Argentina. She helped so many come to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It brought back so many memories of serving a mission. Truly, it is an amazing blessing to see her example and her growth. Being with all my brothers and sisters was such a blast. We swam (it was 116 degrees in AZ, ate good food, and shopped (Our dear Marci needed some new clothes) So....thanks Mom and Dad, for such a wonderful trip!

Let the "summer groups" begin!

I love Summer! Summer comes and its as though everyone wakes up from a long winters nap, it seems as though I live in a different city all of a sudden! People are out and about riding bikes, walking, running,golfing, playing tennis,and going to the parks. The echo of children laughing and playing outside fills the air.
I love the change of season. There is always something to look forward to with each change. So now that it is Summer, we have the opprotunity to join what I call "Summer Groups" Most of you probably know exactly what I am talking about.

Yes, you can join any group you want, we have a group for each day of the week. For Example - Walking group, Library group, park group, play group, and reading group. You can also join the swim group, dance group, scrapbooking group, music group and recipe group! Did I forget any? Yes, the choices are endless! Then after a fun filled day of "groups," we like to have what I call "Gracie watch a movie while mom takes a nap group!"(wink, wink) So here are a few pics of our latest goups- fun times!
