Happy Easter!
I decided to be crafty for Easter and made homemade reeses peanut butter cup eggs! Yummy!
James' family came over for Easter dinner.
We were loving the beautiful sunny Easter morning!
Fondue!
Those of you who know me well, know I am really into fondue! Actually, I am a big fondue nerd. I collect fondue pots, and recipes. I love to have fondue parties. The cheese, meat, and dessert fondues..yep, the whole shabang! I think it is such a fun way to entertain! This is a pic from a few days ago, we had a couple over for chocolate fondue dessert.
Along with fondue, I love to cook- anything really. I admit, baking is not my strong point, rather I like to create... a little bit of this... a little bit of that! And I love to garnish!(as several college friends can attest) Like they say... you eat first with your eyes!
So, I have always wanted to make a cookbook, with pictures. It will be something I will give my kids etc. Like a collection of our favorite recipes. I think I will start posting some pictures and recipes. And probably borrowing some recipe ideas from some of my fellow bloggers, family members, and of course foodnetwork as well!

American Idol

The first couple years of our marriage, James used to make fun of me for watching American Idol all the time.... Now, I am happy to say James is converted. It is one of our favorite things to do together. Because of our busy weekly schedules, we have to TIVO it, then when we are both home, with pj's on and ice cream ready to eat,(or some kind of yummy dessert) we intently watch the singing battle continue. We both find ourselves being judges, yelling at the TV things like.. " Why did you pick that song!" " Girl, what are you wearing!" and " Come on David, dont forget the words!" We are both David fans! This cute litte guy from Utah has an incredible voice... we'll see what happens!
Curly Hair!
Ok, so in order to fully appreciate these first few pictures, you may need some back ground. You see, I am 1 of 5 sisters. All my sisters have this amazingly beautiful hair. Not only beautiful straight hair, but they each have the option to go curly also. Growing up, I would secretly envy this veritile hair of thiers. Over hearing conversations such as, "hmmm. Should I go curly today, or straight.... what do you think Katie?" Well, I will tell you what I was thinking as I looked into the mirror at my straight as a board hair.... Why cant I have curly hair too?? And oh, trust me I have tried. Hair spray, gel, moose, difusser. Nope, doesnt work. So, now that I am all grown up....HA, HA, and had Gracie... What? Could it be? Curly Hair?
So I will live vicariously through Gracies beautiful curly hair, what fun it is to do her hair!
Gracie loves to stand herself up on everything, then turn around in glowing accompliishment and wave "HI!" Soon, she'll be walking!
This just shows how closely your children watch you... even when you dont know they are. This started a few weeks ago. I was giving her a bath and she folded her arms and bowed her head. Then threw her hands up as if to say AMEN! Every morning when Gracie is in her high chair James and I say a prayer before he leaves. She was obviously watching, and now we say prayers all day over everything......
Gracie loves her little piano. Most toys keep her attention for a few days, then she's done, back to moms purse, or the nearest peice of fuzz on the carpet. But, this piano she never seems to get enough of. Here she is playing a duet with her friend Cooper Clark.

Trip to Arizona!
Gracie got to play with her cousins last weekend in Arizona. My sister and her kids from Kentucky came too. It was so good to be with them. Laying out in the sunshine sure made us ready for spring in Utah! This was the first time Gracie had been on a swing! She loved it. It is so great to be together with my sisters and and to share in motherhood together. Living far apart can be hard. So, when we get the chance to be together it is time we treasure. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa... we had a great time!
